Need for Prayer Please!

My husband's youngest sister (44 yo) fell down 15 stairs while on vacation in Topsail, NC. She suffered three cervical fractures, a lacerated lung, a lacerated liver and a broken collarbone. Currently, she unable to move or feel anything below her shoulders. Her breathing became more difficult after the injury and has required a ventilator. She did not sever her spinal cord but the swelling that is occurring post-injury can cause permanent damage. She was life-flighted to a hospital in Wilmington, NC.

Please pray that the swelling will go down quickly and that the damage to the cord will be minimal. Please pray that she will regain as much motor and sensation as possible. Please pray that she will stabilize soon and can be medivac'd to Ohio to be closer with family. Please pray for traveling mercies for family as they travel to be near her.

Last, but definitely not least, please pray for God's hand to be evident to all in the midst of this situation. May hearts of those who do not believe be softened and may lives be changed for the glory of God.

I started my nursing career working with spinal cord injured patients. I am trying my best to keep a positive outlook but it is difficult. I know the possible roads that lie ahead...it is hard.

Please feel free to pass this request on and thank you for your prayers!

  7. Denise, I am praying right now for your sister in law!

As I prayed I could see the LORD in my spiritual eye standing over her. HE IS WITH HER. I'm confident that all will be done according to HIS divine will. I'm praying the specific things you asked as well. May the Comforter, the Holy Spirit rest with each of you and may the Hand of Jehovah Rapha, our Healer, touch your sister in law's body FULLY.

Love you and praying with you.

  12. It is an honor to pray with you tonight dear one. I too understand the difficulties of spinal injuries. My mom is a paraplegic from an accident in high school. Lord, we simply call down your kingdom as you taught us to pray.

    With heartfelt prayers,
    Sarah Dawn

  13. My Precious Sister,

Thank you for alerting me to come here to pray for your sister-in-law. I want you to know that I read your post, stopped and prayed for her complete healing, for the swelling to go down quickly and for all of her feeling to return back to her despite what tests and imagaes and doctors say here on this earth. MIRACLES HAPPEN and I firmly, firmly believe in them. I stand strong and will rest in knowing that she is in His complete care, complete healing and His will shall be done all in the name of the Jesus Christ our precious Lord and Savior.

I also pray that grace and tender mercies and divine intervention occur within family members that need to come to know Him and that they be touched in a way that goes way beyond their understanding, but they will know it is of Him and that joy will flood their minds, hearts and souls during this trying time.

    I love you dear one.
