My weekend continues...

At times in these past few days it was difficult to tell where the heavens stopped and the earth began.

As quickly as the flakes fell to earth they gathered in numbers upon their terrestrial bed. Quickly and almost completely, the line blurred between the two.

Beautiful from the inside but wearying from the outside. We waited, we watched and then we shoveled.

My front steps after round 2 of shoveling:

My front steps 4-5 hours after round 2 of shoveling and waiting for round 3

Thank goodness for fancy electric shovels!  (especially for round 3 shoveling of the driveway)  Rounds 1 and 2 wreaked havoc on the conventional shovel.  We had to bid a painful goodbye to that old friend.

Yes, that is snow...up to his waist!

Great exercise for the Maggie!

Sammy loves it, too!

Now, this is where you will find me...

Ahead for my weekend...

The air is heavy with expectation and soon, very soon, will give birth to the much anticipated…snowflake.

This winter has been full of these moments. Too full some would say.

Nonetheless, I find myself once again in a pregnant pause before the storm. The supplies have been purchased. The camera is charging. I wait in grateful anticipation for the forced interruption to life.

What is ahead for your weekend?

White is the snow

Well, the sun is shining and we (hubby, really) are shoveling our way out of the house. I am not sure when we will be able to venture on the road. We were pretty close to 2 feet of snow at our house. So, unless it melts or the nice man in the truck with big yellow plow comes down our road we may be stuck here for a day or two. We shall see what happens.
Until then, chili and hot chocolate for everyone!

It's beginning to look a lot like a BLIZZARD!

Seriously, isn't the official start of winter yet to come!

Hunkering in for a few days I guess. Photos to come. Right now, 530am we have had about 6 inches since 9pm last night and today the heaviest snow is supposed to fall.

Anyone have a snow blower?
