At times in these past few days it was difficult to tell where the heavens stopped and the earth began.
As quickly as the flakes fell to earth they gathered in numbers upon their terrestrial bed. Quickly and almost completely, the line blurred between the two.
Beautiful from the inside but wearying from the outside. We waited, we watched and then we shoveled.

Thank goodness for fancy electric shovels! (especially for round 3 shoveling of the driveway) Rounds 1 and 2 wreaked havoc on the conventional shovel. We had to bid a painful goodbye to that old friend.
